Names for Baby #2. Feel free to comment

1) Amy Josephine ("Amy Jo" for short): this is currently Steve's favorite, and I like it too.
2) Josephine Marie (not sure about the middle name, but "Jo Jo" for short). This was an early favorite, and I still like it. I especially like the sound of "Elizabeth and Josephine" as names for sisters.
3) Natalie a classic, but unfortunately no good nickname comes to mind.
4) Julia also a favorite, but right now it doesn't sound as catchy as the others. Not sure why.

This is what we've got so far. Any other suggestions, please weigh in by posting a comment. You may have to sign up for a google username in order to post, but that just takes a moment.

This is the first time I've come to this site. I didn't realize you'd created it. Very nice. Names?....my first choice was rejected but I still like Rebecca. In our work, Steve and I have come across ladies with very unusual names, none of which I would suggest. I had a nun....wait, let me rephrase that....A nun teacher in school was named Ann Julie and I thought that was pretty in spite of her fondness for corporal punishment. I like Julie but it doesn't have any of the regal factor she will require. My favorite aunt was named Esther and I think that's a pretty name.

Thanks, Lutrell, for the suggestions. I agree with you on wanting something "regal." I already refer to Betsy's jogging stroller as the "QE III," because she is Queen of our hearts. And Josephine was an Empress. . .

p.s. I created this site a while ago as part of a work project, but I've only recently put the pictures and videos on it.

How about Lilian? Lilian Marie?
Lily for short?

I also like the name Lilian, but two of our best friends from the Peace Corps (another couple who met there and got married) already took it for their daughter! Too close an association for us to choose that name. One of our other friends from the Peace Corps is named Cardinal, which I really like. Suits her to a "T." Unique and strong, but capable of being serious. But unfortunately that one is out, too. That's the hard thing about names: you can't pick one that reminds you of someone you dislike, or one shared by any of your spouse's ex-girlfriends. Nor can you pick the name of a close friend or relative, as all the other close friends and relatives will feel snubbed, and then they will freeze you out at the next holiday event. So hard!

How about Robin?? another good bird name that is also a girl name.

Robin is pretty, I agree! And I typically like names that could be for boys or girls. Robin suggests beauty, nature, and the potential for super-heroism. Unfortunately, a long time ago one of us had a fiancé named Robin. So much water under the bridge.

I love Natalie; love it, love it! A classic name that you don't hear much at all anymore. i also love Josephine, and that one has good nicknames, as you mentioned. I don't do nicknames as much, but Jo Jo is a fun name to call a little girl! One of my sister's girls is name Julia, and i like it, but it seems hard to say...or maybe that's just because of our country drawl.
